Week 5: The Meaning Behind The Film "Panik"



The Meaning Behind My Film

Essentially, I started off this project knowing I wanted to do a horror genre, however not knowing anything else. I was in class brainstorming ideas for what the name could be before I even figured out what my film was going to be about. I went onto chatgpt to give me horror movie idea names and that didn't help me one bit because they were all generic. 

As I was creating my story board right as I got to the scene where the end of the movie is, I randomly came up with the idea "Panik". This name is perfect for what the movie is because throughout the whole 2 minuets the audience is in a constant panic. There are scenes where an anonymous person is messaging the main character, the antagonist is watching the character outside the window, and, scenes the tv turns the a broadcast announcement.

    Why I called the title "Panik" and not instead of "Panic" was because my main actor's name is "Nick" and I thought it would be a good spin to change the c to a k. After looking at it written out I also thought it looked creative.

Week 3: First Day on Set

I have a few updates for you, as you know we started the shoot of Panik and heres how things went!     First off, we started shooting around 7:30. As you know this is going to be a horror movie therefore we need to shoot at night to give that vibe. So my two friends, Kain and Nick came over to begin the shoot. Week 2: Story Board

  Story Board      Hey guys! I wanted to give you guys a little preview of my story board and upcoming things you should be excited about. First, we already have our film date set which is 2/21/26! Yes that's right!!! In exactly two days we will start the filming process. This means that the movie should be done sooner then anticipated which is always a plus. The editing process is going to be a whole other story because I still have to learn a bunch of thing with the program I will be using. Anyway, this little story board should give you guys an idea on what my project is going to look like.       Here is just a rough draft of what my film would look like, (don't mind my horrible drawing).
