Week 6: Editing
Editing
Hi guys! As you know I have finally finished editing and I would like to share with you how that all went!
As you guys know I used adobe premier pro 2026 for editing my movie and let me tell you, there were a lot of complications. I knew adobe was very difficult to edit in but I never realized just how HARD it was. Not having partners made the editing process very challenging for me because I didn't have anyone to give me ideas or help me at home.
First off, I started by adding all my clips onto my computer then onto my flash drive. I organized my clips in a folder and deleted all the clips that I didn't need in my film. After that I uploaded everything in adobe and organized my clips so I can get ready to edit. I used AI to help me make a movie title that says "PANIK" in red font, and a production company logo. I didn't have time to waste so I thought using AI was the most simple choice. AI actually came up with really good logos that I really liked. I put everything into adobe.
The other issue I ran into was adding in music. To be able to add in music to adobe, you have to download it. I was using the song " How Long" by Ace and I couldn't find anywhere where I could download the original song. Adobe wouldn't let me use Apple music because of copyright issues. I searched for about an hour and a half trying to figure out where I could download this song and upload it to adobe. My research wasn't helping me so I decided to download the song from Amazon Music. It was about $1.99 which was cheap and I downloaded it. Once I downloaded it I jus dragged it into adobe.
Once I got my clips arranged, I adding in sound effects. Once my sound was edited perfectly, I was trying to add in text for my intro credits, I can't remember what I exactly did but I closed some of the panels and that led me to view my clips in an odd way and wouldn't let me edit anything further. That really frustrated me because no matter what shortcuts I pressed on my keyboard It wouldn't let me view my project the way I originally was. Soooo that meant I had to started all over again with editing.
The second time around I was much more quicker. The only issue I ran into was when I uploaded my clips into adobe the size of it was too zoomed in. I had to adjust my clips sizing. After that Everything went a lot quicker.
With some of my complications the whole editing process took me about 5 hours all together which isn't terrible. I got everything done in one sitting.
Panik is coming out April 10th, stay tuned ;)
